Event Description: Organised by the Energy Institute, International Petroleum Week will be taking place from 15-17 February in various locations across London, UK.  It will be focusing on all aspects of the oil and gas industry; including upstream, refining, downstream and price; all discussing the impact of the economic downturn and the outlook for the sector. As a well-established series of high-profile events, IP Week is designed to stimulate debate and learning, promoting networking among international petroleum industry professionals.

IP Week 2010's opening conference on 15 February will focus on fuelling the economic recovery with Brad Corson, Chairman and Production Director, ExxonMobil International, providing the keynote address.

On Tuesday 16 February, IP Week will discuss industry progress, potential and challenges in Russia and the CIS, Africa, and the Middle East in parallel sessions.
Later in the day, experts on asset management and safety leadership will address how to generate growth and achieve sustainability.

On Wednesday 17 February, delegates will hear from trading experts about energy prices and their attempts to get smarter at managing volatility. Again, in parallel, there will be an opportunity to examine and address challenges in the downstream industry, while the upstream conference looks at rejuvenation and innovation.

The social highlight of IP Week concludes with the 96th IP Week Dinner, where guest of honour and keynote speaker is John Manzoni FEI, President and Chief Executive, Talisman, with entertainment provided after dinner by Jon Culshaw, comedian and impressionist.

With the world economies facing not only financial but energy and environmental challenges ahead, IP Week 2010 promises to provide much food for thought and an excellent forum for debate.
