Event Description:	The events of the past year have forced us all to think more about global risks and how they will continue to affect us. The overall theme for the Institute of Risk Management’s two day Risk Forum is ‘Practical Risk Management in a Turbulent World’ and it aims to do just that. IRM are pleased to have secured Gareth Shepherd, who leads the work bringing risk and investment insights into the World Economic Forum’s Davos programme, as opening keynote speaker. Subsequent speakers will focus in more depth on the key issues. Well known financial commentator Justin Urquhart Stewart will talk about upheavals in the financial markets: what went wrong and what will be the longer term implications. Government Minister Dan Norris MP will talk about the practical steps we are all going to have to take as businesses and communities to adapt to changes in the climate. Ray Mattholie, an IRM Fellow with extensive international business experience, will talk about the growing importance of supply chain risk management.
