The FSA's requirements relating to liquidity risk are near completion and while the first date for reporting is February 2010, firms should not underestimate the practical issues involved in compliance. To support us in this event, Simon Hills, Executive Director, Prudential Capital, Risk and Regulatory Relationships from the British Bankers' Association, will present his views (that represent those of the banking industry) to summarise his interaction with the FSA in the past few months together with the view of the banking community in response to the FSA's requirements.
FRSGlobal is organising this event to give firms that are affected by the liquidity regulations an opportunity to:
- Explore the practical problems that the business will face in selecting and implementing a solution to meet the regulator's requirements, considering: o Data acquisition o Data volumes o Generating cash flows o Reconciliation o Stresses o Reporting
- See the FRSGlobal risk management and regulatory reporting solution for Liquidity risk: monitoring, reporting and managing
- Hear Simon Hills chairing a 'roundtable' / Q&A-style forum to discuss: 1. The impact that the new transitional CP will have on your firm 2. How the FSA sees waivers 3. What issues banks will experience when addressing the risk and regulatory data reconciliation 4. Any other burning issues that the audience may have and wish to discuss
- Access a source of regulatory experts that are qualified to explain the CP's issued by the FSA
It is anticipated that this will be a highly interactive session, based on "Chatham House Rules", at which members may openly discuss their concerns and benefit from in-depth business and professional experience. FRSGlobal's CoR2Experts will be on hand at the event, with supporting material, to summarise the CP 08/22 and CP 09/13 documents.
