Since the MiFID implementation of November 2007 firms are expected to demonstrate that they have an effectively operating best execution policy in place. However the FSA recently stated in
their MIFID themed reviews that overall firms’ best execution policies were not satisfying and their monitoring processes not detailed enough.
Also rapidly evolving financial markets are presenting firms with additional challenges regarding the availability of data, so that (cost-) effectively measuring and monitoring your best execution performance remains a complex and challenging task.

Therefore this concise afternoon seminar will:
• Explain the key regulatory best execution requirements for fund management firms and brokers
• Clarify issues regarding regulatory reporting
• Provide guidance on effectively measuring best execution
• Discuss instruments for cost-effectively monitoring best execution
• Address the implications of recent market turbulences on best execution
