FI Credit Analyst (AAR 45263)

A highly reputable Hedge Fund is looking to hire a credit research analyst to undertake credit analysis and perform surveillance on a portfolio of Financial Institutions.

In order to qualify for this position, you must have the following:

Accountancy qualification or CFA is advantageous, Experience working within credit, research or a middle office credit function covering a portfolio of Banks, Strong communication skills and research ability, Confidence to represent the organisation both internally and externally and present your findings in a clear and concise manner, Ability to take a proactive approach.

As the primary analyst, you will required to perform detailed buy-to-hold credit analysis at both the issuer and sectoral level with cashflow modelling being a requirement. Findings and a recommendation are presented to the Credit Committee where a limit is assigned if the proposition is not declined. In addition, surveillance must be performed at predetermined frequencies and in an agreed format. Internal credit limits are also frequently checked and reassessed. Furthermore, the department undertakes ad-hoc project work.

A firm emphasis is placed on constantly attempting to improve the quality and depth of analytical insight. In addition, the role necessitates developing relationships with sell-side and rating agency analysts and thus representing the company to the outside world.
