Skills/Experience: The individual in this role is responsible for setting strategy to maximize customer payments on high risk current accounts, delinquent accounts, and post charge-off accounts. In so doing, concessions and other alternatives may be offered that are suitable to a customer's individual situation towards debt relief and minimizing credit losses for The Company. Extensive analysis is conducted to develop strategies that operate in line with loss recognition policies set by this area, as well as, applicable regulations and Global Risk policies. Close coordination is required with Collections Operations and Credit Early Warning(CREW) to set optimal customer contact strategy, offer sequencing and customer targeting. Post-charge off recovery strategy is also a component of the role to maximize payments on written off accounts including external agency assessment and debt sale evaluation. Monitoring of collections operations to ensure appropriate performance and effectiveness levels are achieved. This area is most key towards meeting the annual Net Credit Loss target.

Business and Technical Requirements
- Extensive knowledge and experience with consumer financial product collections and recoveries strategy and tactics- preferably credit cards.
- Familiar with and hands on experience with products and tools in the collections environment including dialer/best-time-to-call technology, optimization software, and decision engines
- Strong risk management analysis and policy development experience.
- Experience with use of credit scoring, specialized delinquent account scoring and segmentation analytics to drive targeted and accurate decisions
- Knowledge of the current regulatory environment and interpretation of guidance particularly related to loss recognition and collections practices/ policies
- Knowledge and experience with tracking and effectiveness metrics for Collections Operations.
- Industry knowledge and relationships to keep updated on trends and innovations
- Ability to bring innovations to the loss mitigation space

Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage pre-delinquent and delinquent account collections strategies including contact method, segmentation/ targeting, concession type and sequencing
- Develop and manage recovery strategy including segmentation/ targeting, external agency evaluation, and debt sale evaluation
- Collections monitoring for effectiveness and productivity. Evaluation of collections sites and outsource vendors
- Engage heavily with collections operation to ensure close adherence to developed strategies and alignment on goals
- Build and lead a high performing risk analytics team.  Leverage expertise and experience to develop a pipeline of talented leaders
- Develop and maintain relationships and matrix manage across multiple functions and several levels of management.
- Interactions with Senior levels of management to gain support for initiatives and facilitate understanding of our strategy performance.
