Skills/Experience: Position Summary: The individual in this role is responsible for 2 core functions within risk management that are critical to delivery of our strategies with quality. The first is to operationalize our strategies and policies in all credit cycle areas including: new account acquisitions, portfolio growth (ECM), Credit Early Warning (CREW), Fraud Early Warning (FEW), and Collections. This requires a strong foundation in risk management to ensure quality execution of policies and operations expertise to optimize the trade-off with productivity and speed of execution. The second core function is compliance and control- an increasingly critical component in this environment of heightened regulatory scrutiny.   This function exists to ensure that Branded Cards credit policies and practices conform to all regulations and global policies. An additional extension of this function is reviewing for proper execution of policies within Operations. This area will also coordinate all regulatory and audit activities related to the Risk Management team.

Qualifications
Business and Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience in a credit risk operations environment with a comprehensive understanding of requirements for Fraud, Acquisitions, ECM andCollections policy execution
- Strong orientation around quality control techniques, regression testing and productivity management
- Strong overall knowledge of the credit risk management function and techniques used to manage credit losses through policies and procedures. This is critical towards developing operational solutions that will meet control requirements.
- Working knowledge of credit policy management and processes to communicate requirements and ensure compliance by both risk management functions and Operations
- Experience with regulatory and internal audit/compliance processes. Ability to lead regulatory and audit relations and represent the risk mgmt organization appropriately.
- Understanding of operation review techniques to ensure that all possible gaps are identified and remediation steps are taken.
- Familiarity with operational reporting and MIS used to assess compliance, effectiveness and productivity trade-offs
- Bring innovation to risk operations and compliance areas. Drives change toward developing best in class processes

Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities

- Manage strategy and process for execution of ECM and Acquisitions policies. Strategize on work-around solutions with Operations
- Manage implementation of CREW and Collections strategies to mitigate credit losses
- Manage execution activities related to FEW analyst Fraud case reviews. Educate on new trends and executing targeted strategies with quality to mitigate fraud losses
- Oversee compliance and control function for Risk Management. This includes an internal review function to ensure operational compliance with risk policies and regulations
- Build and lead a high performing policy execution and compliance team. Leverage expertise and experience to develop a pipeline of talented leaders and enhance morale
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with operations to ensure alignment with objectives, timely response and cooperation. Ability to matrix manage across risk management and operations
- Interactions with Senior levels of management to gain support for initiatives and escalation of issues
