Job Description: One of the leading providers of Asset services is currently looking to expand their Risk Team. They are looking for a number of Risk Analyst on varying levels to assume responsibility for the production and delivery of risk and analytics reports and services to the firm’s clients.
Skills/Experience:
    • Knowledge and experience of a range of investment analytics products.
    • IMC or other Securities qualification.
    • Exposure to multi factor attribution, ex-ante risk, stress testing, scenario analysis, and portfolio construction.
    • Thorough understanding of securities and investments.
    • Experienced with systems, databases and the Microsoft Office suite. Word and Excel to an intermediate or advanced level.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
    • The ability to interpret and translate investment terminology and concepts into simple terms.
    • Excellent numerical skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
    • Capable of strong self-motivation and self-assurance.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to accomplish tasks assigned in a timely and productive manner.
    • Strong organisational skills.
    • An eye for detail and the ability to think strategically.
Responsibilities:
    • Production and delivery of Global Risk product suite including advanced analytics to clients.
    • Review reports and analysis to ensure delivery is in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Assist in managing the client relationship.
    • Assist in project work as and when required.
    • Investigate and respond to client questions on advanced analytics and risk reporting.
    • Liaison with data providers, colleagues and clients on issues and initiatives relating to the quality and timeliness of data and the content of the reports.
    • Effective and timely handovers of work in progress to other teams as appropriate.
    • Active engagement in production monitoring and quality assurance processes.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of differing clients, capital markets and instruments used in the investment world.
    • Work closely with strategic partners to implement new clients, resolve queries and enhance client experience.
    • Processing and validation of investment analytics results within specified timescales.
    • Maintenance of client requirements and provision of reports as provided for by these client requirements.
    • Participation in change management activities as assigned (e.g. restructures, new benchmarks/change to investment strategy etc).
    • Produce daily/weekly risk and attribution reports. Review the reports for accuracy and presentation.
    • Delivery of reporting within prescribed timescales, as assigned.
    • Active engagement in production monitoring and quality assurance processes.
    • Keeping management fully updated regarding any service delays or client issues as and when they occur.
    • Effective communication on all work undertaken within the team, escalating problems or providing supporting information to others as required.
    • Ensuring MIS, client summaries and procedures are kept up to date.
    • Plus other duties as appropriate and as provided for in the job description of Risk Analyst.
    • Use quantitative techniques and/or call upon knowledge of investments to uncover possible anomalies in performance and/or analytics data and apply these to specific client circumstances Understanding of risk measurement and investment methodology.
